Weekly sessions of one to one & 1/2 hours each. All sides, material and syllabus provided. Expect a lot of work to be done on your own.

Week 0ne: Type Casting

What is your type? How do you come across at first glance? What is your niche of work?

Assignment: Words of essence (from the Stella Adler Conservatory) plus Industry Questions.

Week Two: Life & Acting

I am  a person in a place, I want something and I have trouble getting it. how does this universal human condition translate in acting?

What is an Objective and how do we find it.

Week Three: The Three Main Contemporary Acting Techniques and their Histories in a Nutshell

Where does contemporary acting come from? You will get screenshots of book pages and diagrams. You will be exposed to different exercises from different techniques and we will explore which one resonates best with you and your own UNIQUENESS.

Week Four: The Shows for You

As we keep on with technique as our first and foremost focus, we ask the following questions: what shows are out there currently shooting where you could fit? Who is casting them? Where do they audition? Do these Casting Directors send you their sides or do they ask you to provide your own?

Week Five: Let's Build a Strong Repertoire

As we delve deeper into technique and we make you stronger each day as a performer and bring out the real you as an artist, we look for sides that are audition appropriate for the shows you are right for and make sure you absorb that material 120%. We introduce concepts as paraphrasing, character analysis and scene analysis.

Week Six: Let's Start Researching a Headshot Photographer

This will be an hour and a half class because I will help you structure your resume and find a headshot photographer in your area.

Week Seven: Back to the Craft and Intro to Self Taping

As we continue intensifying technique exercises at the beginning of every lesson, we now focus on three sets of sides for auditioning and self taping.

You will be told what you need for self taping as well.

Week Eight: First tries at Self Taping

Now you need to know your sides 120%!

Where do you look during self taping? Who is your reader?

This will prepare you also to audition online.

Week Nine: Let's Find your Audition!

Let's simply go on actorsconnection.com and find you an online audition! We will have checked it many times before - please note, when we do this, I will share the screen on Zoom and guide you with the cursor.

Week Ten: You are ON THE CLOCK!

This is an expression that means that from the moment you have the date and time of the audition, you DO NOT STOP REHEARSING the sides, either that your are being assigned the sides or you provide your own and I will be helping you as much as possible at no extra charge.
